About the Community CircusCambridge Community Circus (CCC) was formed in 1994 to promote, teach and perform Circus Skills in the Cambridge area. We are run by a voluntary management committee who are elected at the Annual General Meeting for members. We are a non-profit-making association currently applying for charitable status.CCC runs weekly workshops, performs and teaches all around Cambridge and the surrounding area throughout the year. In the past we have organised large-scale Community Shows in Spring, performed fundraising Christmas Cabarets and have run five Cambridge Juggling Conventions. We are grant-aided by Cambridge City Council Leisure Services and we also raise funds through our performances and workshops. Cambridge Community Circus is about you! Come down to a workshop and get involved - we're a friendly bunch and you don't have to be able to juggle already - we'll teach you as much (or as little) as you want to know. Our workshops are open to all (except children under 7) and are attended by a mix of people - teachers, students, people with and without jobs... We look forward to meeting you! If you can juggle already, come and meet the local juggling group - we attend many of the major Juggling Conventions in the U.K. and abroad, and often arrange social events, visits to circus-related performances and special trips. |
