Do you want to be part of the next Community Show? Come down to one of our weekly workshops and find out what we're planning - no previous experience is necessary and you don't even have to be able to juggle!
We have decided (between committee, cast and director) to
change the format of the show to make it more
possible for those with little time available to be part of the
event. The show will now be more of a
‘cabaret’ format (individual acts). We are also using
the time to develop acts that would work just as well
during our summer gigs as in a theatre show - so this is your
chance to work on that juggling routine
you’ve been putting off for ages! We have arranged for
rehearsal space on the following dates (more
details as we get them):

Towards the end of this period we’re going to put together a
show for the 8th and 9th - we don’t know
what will be in it yet but I’m sure we’ll find out!
Debs, our director, will be here for around half the
rehearsals and can help you to add the ‘performance’
element to your routine. On some the other dates
we’re going to run some special workshops (not necessarily
just for the Community Show):
Sat 11th March Costume Day - come along and choose a
costume from the CCC box!
Sat 18th March Open Performance Skills Workshop - a more in-depth
look at performance skills,
taught by Deb (open to all)
Sat 25th March Outdoor Performance Workshop - tips and tricks for
performing outside at
parades, fairs etc., taught by Charlie (open to all)
So even if you have only a little time available, come along and
see what you can do...if you can make
it for the 8th and 9th of April and for at least one day of the
weekend before, you CAN be in the
Community Show. Go on, you know you’ll enjoy it!
