One of the venerable (1973) standard texts on general relativity, with
official title Gravitation
, is known by its list of authors: (Charles
W.) Misner, (Kip S.) Thorne and (John Archibald) Wheeler. I should have read
it when I was a student in the mid 1980s but I didn't get round to it until a
quarter century later. In the course of doing so, I sketch most of the
exercises in my head but some of them seem worth writing out in more
detail. In this directory, I'll record my efforts on those, plus any further
